I'm very lucky that I've just been promoted, and thus landed a decent payrise, so my financial preparations are going to be more about saving, just in case, and being aware of what is going where. I have zero interest in money or finances which is why I've told myself I'm going to make an effort now rather than later! I'm pretty concerned for quite a few people I know who seem very ignorant of the UK financial situation and might end up spending themselves into trouble if they're not careful :( Here's hoping not too many people end up as casualties of the credit crunch and housing problems, and our country can haul itself out of this mire before long!
