Way back in the day I took a similar shot to this one that for some strange reason seem to get regular views around every week. This one was taken outside the Fire Station in Newcastle city center.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody that helped make my birthday and birthday weekend unforgettable.

The 20 or so friends that turned up at my house uninvited, you all helped me have a very memorable party. It was overwhelming to see so many people out for no other reason than to wish me a happy birthday (well maybe because you where dragged along by your partner; or to just get drunk; but that’s fine :-).

A big thank you to Burns for helping arrange the whole thing; Love you Bro.

Most of all to my fantastic girl Emma; who started planning the whole thing over 5 weeks ago. The effort that she had put in was just unbelievable. Yet another reminder of why her love her so much.

Thank you all, you have made a slightly older man a very happy man.

This is one of the walkways that steps down under the dual carriageway that surrounds 55 Degrees North in the centre of Newcastle.

I have been reliable informed that although its called 55 degrees North it is not actually at 55 Degrees North.
