It was a beautiful morning on a day the wind was zero and the temperature later that day hit 28c\/82f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moel Famau is the highest hill in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Clwydian_Range\">Clwydian Range<\/a> and the highest point (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_counties_of_England_and_Wales_in_1964_by_highest_point\">county top<\/a>) of the county of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flintshire\">Flintshire<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wales\">Wales<\/a> (both the historic county and the current council area). It lies on the boundary between <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Denbighshire\">Denbighshire<\/a> and Flintshire. The hill, which also gives its name to the Moel Famau <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Country_park\">country park<\/a>, has been classed as an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Area_of_Outstanding_Natural_Beauty\">Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty<\/a> since 1985. It is also surrounded by several well-preserved <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_hillforts_in_Wales#Clwyd\">Iron Age hill forts<\/a>. It is not, as many people think, the highest peak in North-East Wales; this honour goes to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.m.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cadair_Berwyn\">Cadair Berwyn<\/a>.
