Thanks for taking the time to follow my URL on Twitter. Since you have taken the time to check me out, I better tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Phil Brown and I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK. I have three main reasons for being on Twitter.

Photo

I have been taking photos on a weekly basis since 1997 but when I got my first camera phone a Nokia 7650 in 2002 I started to take pictures on an almost daily basis. After collecting a library of around 6000 photos and setting up my Pro Flickr account; I got my first Digital SRL in Early 2008 a Canon 400D.
I am now part of a highly active Twitter based Photo Group on Flickr called the “Newcastle Photo Walk” where we meet as often as possible to talk geek and take pictures. I use Twitter to share what we’ve been up to and to keep in touch with the group. Check out my Photostream on Flickr and let me know what you think of my Photos…. Even if it just to say “Give it up; you’re crap!”

Blog

I have been running a Blog since February 2006 across three different domains posting 16,632 words. I have now settled on http://smlp.co.uk which I have used to “Brand” everything I do online. This is my portal to the internet which I use to rant about things I see in the News and online. I would say I limit the subjects I post about but my main themes of my Blog are; Technology, Internet, Photos and Mobile Communications.
If you want you can subscribe to my site or head over to the main page to check out my latest post. I use Twitter as a way of promoting my posts and also to follow other Blogger that are active users of Twitter.

Social

People are interesting. Information is people. Since I’ve started using Twitter I have found and met some very interesting people and follow everyone from geek to housewives. I find that some of the most interesting people are open about what they do and this is true of most Twitter users. You can follow me on Twitter or @smlp me and say hi.
