International cuisine and cultural entertainment was on the cards for me and my girl this evening. As is normally when you have your ideal night planned out… it didn’t go to plan.
Our mission to obtain pan-asian cuisine went pear shaped due to time restrictions and we ended up in Burger King.
Our little bit of culture for the evening was at the Newcastle Theatre Royal and the play “The Woman in Black”.
I have to say the visual ambiance on the show was excellent. The play is set on the stage within a stage. The storey of an man trying to find the courage to share his storey of what happened many years before when sent to a remote village to oversee the affairs of the late Alice Drablow.
The play has been running since 1989 and has had well over 5000 performances in London. This was the first time that I have been to a Horror on the stage and although its no Horror movie I didn’t do a “little” jump in my seat. Highly recommended.
